Hello world, and welcome to my blog.
As I sit here typing my first post, I can’t help but feel a mix of excitement and nervousness. Starting a blog is something…
Ah screw it.
I know what you’re thinking… “Great, another guy with a blog, huh?” Well, yes. That’s literally my tagline – no excuses.
It’s not my first time doing this, I’ve had 3 blog websites before this – one with a similar name but lost them – too lazy to keep writing, you see. Writing is a daunting task, even more so when your life is as interesting as watching paint dry.
Also, we didn’t have ChatGPT back then.
And I had a friend helping me out immensely back then – this time, I’m on my own. But I’m bringing it back.
Few questions still remain though – the same as before – What do I write about? Will anyone ever read it?
I don’t know and maybe like 12 people will. But, with my old blog gone, the guilt was eating me – of me not doing enough (maybe with my life either) but I hope this saves me from the noises inside my head.
Too dark? Hmmm…
As I ramble on, it could get darker. Or sillier. Honestly, I don’t what I’m gonna put in here. The important thing, however, is that I got started again. Not to toot my own horn, but that takes courage and effort.
So, while I do this, I hope that you get the courage to go and start whatever that you’ve always wanted to or resume something that you quit that used to be your solace.
And I don’t know if you’re familiar – but most new programmers start out by learning code to display “Hello World” on a console screen. And despite only a small percentage of persevere to do a lot more, it is amazing to think how a journey – be it 1000 miles or 1000 libraries or 1000s lines of code – they all begin with the word “Hello”.
Hence, hello world. So, here’s to hoping that you take your first step to begin, or resume, or rekindle your own “Hellos” in your own worlds.
I wish you a good “Hello World”…for the nth time. Until next time,
The Annoyed Monkey
